Protesters Flying Grumpy Cat Banner Around Comcast Center

The group Demand Progress and two other organizations are flying a banner with Grumpy Cat on it around the Comcast Center today to gloat over yesterday’s FCC vote that affirmed new net neutrality rules.
The banner has a photo of Grumpy Cat and reads, “COMCAST: DON’T MESS WITH THE INTERNET.” The protest was organized by Demand Progress, Fight for the Future and Free Press.
Billy Penn reports the plane has been flying well below the top of the Comcast Center.
Demand Progress had been rallying support for net neutrality, which in fact received support in the FCC vote yesterday. The group called yesterday's vote "the biggest victory in the history of the Internet." Demand Progress is a liberal group that appears to focus primarily on civil liberties and election reform.
David L. Cohen, Comcast EVP, blasted the FCC's reclassification of broadband Internet as a telecommunications service. "We just don’t believe statutory provisions designed for the telephone industry and adopted when Franklin D. Roosevelt was president should be stretched to govern the 21st century Internet," Cohen wrote. He called on Congress to act to thwart the FCC's ruling.
