Fiber:

Peaches are rich in dietary fibers. Dietary fibers are essential for your body as they help in improved digestion and metabolism. It also helps prevent cardiovascular diseases. An average peach contains 2.2 g of dietary fiber. This helps fulfill your daily dietary fiber intake of 21 to 25 g of dietary fiber for women and 30 g to 38 g of dietary fiber for men with a 2000 calorie diet.

Vitamin C:

Women are especially very concerned about their Vitamin C intake as it is essential for good skin and maintaining a strong immune system. It is also beneficial for ridding the body of free radicals that help keep you looking younger and fresh. If you are a male and aged over 19 then it is recommended by the NIH that you consume 90 mg of Vitamin C daily. Women aged 19 and above should have a daily consumption of 75 mg of Vitamin C daily. A medium peach contains 9.9 mg of Vitamin C to facilitate your daily intake.

Carbohydrates:

Carbohydrates are essentially made up of strains of sugar. As stated by the U.S Department of Agriculture, carbohydrates are an essential component of a healthy diet. If you are consuming 2000 calories per day then carbohydrates should be 225 g and 325 g of the total calories. An average peach contains 14 g of carbohydrates. The carbohydrates present in a peach are good for your health as they are a natural source of this nutrient as compared to those present in some breads and bakery products.

Sugar:

Sugar is also important for a healthy diet. The American Heart Association advises restricting your sugar intake to 30 g daily for women and 45 g for men. Furthermore consuming food that contains sugar naturally is better as it helps maintain good health. A medium sized peach has about 12 g of sugar which Is a good percentage as your body can easily process this natural sugar in fruit as compared to other food and beverages that contain artificial flavors.

Potassium:

Studies by the National Institute of Health postulate that adults aged 19 and older should have an intake of 4.7 g of Potassium daily. One average sized peach contains 285 mg or 0.286 g of potassium every day. Potassium is an essential and vital nutrient for your health as it supports a strong muscular system and a good functioning of your heart.
