Vote!!! is a game for iPhone and iPad made by Chair Entertainment, who also made the highly rated Infinity Blade. As with Infinity Blade, players swipe the screen to strike their opponents.
But that's where the similarity ends. This game pits Barack Obama against Mitt Romney in fights staged in the Oval Office, on a television debate and on the White House lawn.
Players can dress each politician in a range of outfits, including super hero costumes and a karate suit, and equip them with a variety of comedy weapons.
Chair Entertainment has teamed up with US organisation Rock The Vote, which aims to encourage people to register to vote. Donald Mustard, of Chair, said: "We're excited to join forces with Rock the Vote to help emphasize the importance of voter registration and encourage gamers to become more involved in the political process."
Players are awarded coins for winning fights, which they can spend on bonuses such as the Filibuster, which adds time to a round.
The game includes voter registration information and even an in-game voter registration form.
In addition to the default microphone, weapons that players can unlock include an ice cream cone, the Constitution and the 'balloon of justice'.
Winning a fight earns virtual votes for your candidate and the game shows a live tally of votes accumulated by all players.
"Vote!!! is everything a great game should be - challenging, rewarding, super fun - and players will find themselves laughing the entire time," Donald Mustard said.
Vote!!! is available for iPhone and iPad and is free, though players can buy extra coins.
