It’s that time of year again. We’re packing up the family, the kids,
the dogs, and whatever else you need, and hitting the road. No matter
whether you’ve traveling by plane, car, or train, staying stress-free on
your expedition makes the adventure just that much more enjoyable.
Remember, you’re not in a hurry, you’re on vacation, so whether your flight is delayed or there’s traffic on the roads, don’t be dismayed because you’re not in a hurry anyway. It’s about spending time with family and friends no matter where you are.

1. You're probably going to make your flight.
Ok, sometimes you won't make it, but the majority of times you stress out thinking you're definitely going to miss your flight, you're not. Be swift, get to your destination, but don't freak out.
2. Be proactive if something goes wrong.
Don't rumble in anger over something that you don't like. Get it fixed quickly and if necessary remind people how to fix it. When your flight gets canceled, work to find a solution. Don't depend on others to fix travel difficulties.
3. Carry copies of your passport.
Make two copies of your passport and store it separate places so that if you lose your passport, it's easier to replace.
4. Don't overdo it.
Just because you're on vacation doesn't mean you have to overdo it. Know your limits and get enough sleep. If you need to go in early a night or two, that's ok.
5. Give your system a break.
Limit the fatty, heavy meals that make digestion a task. Also, travel isn't an excuse to be wasted every night and wake up with a hangover.
6. Travel alone.
Once in a while, traveling alone can be so relaxing because the only agenda you have to deal with is your own.

Prepare to sleep soundly on your flight by bringing eye shields, noise canceling headphones, and a blow up pillow. Make it a relaxing experience.
