The colour of your food can be a major way to determine how healthy and relevant it is for you. We are of course talking about the natural colour of the food. Health red food, thus, do not include meatballs in red sauce. They include naturally red vegetables and fruits. The health benefits of red foods are tremendous. They can give you lots of nutritional benefits. 
Red foods are mainly healthy because they are rich in iron. A majority of foods that turn red after cutting are good sources of iron. For example, apples and pomegranates. These foods are particularly healthy for women as it helps them maintain a good hemoglobin count. Red foods are also rich in antioxidant called lycopene.
Lycopene is a pigment and is thus often responsible for the red colour of fruits and vegetables. It helps to fight cancer and clear toxins from the body.  Red Bell Peppers 
Red bell peppers are particularly good for the special antioxidant called lycopene. They are low on calories and extremely beneficial for cancer protection. Bell peppers also help to burn fat.

 Berries have been counted among superfoods because they are extremely rich in antioxidants and Vitamin C. Strawberries help to burn fat and also detox your body from within.

Red onions get their reddish colour from flavonoids. These compounds help to control blood pressure and keep the heart healthy.
 Raspberries
 Raspberries are good for men because it contains zinc. This mineral helps men to keep their testosterone levels high.
 Cranberries 
Cranberries are probably the sourest berries. They contain plenty of Vitamin C that can prevent yeast infections on the skin and improve a person's immunity.
