Ginger-Apple: Homemade Potent Anti-Viral Tea

Ginger helps stimulate a therapeutic sweat. Studies also show that it helps fight against bacterial infections that may develop as a result of the viral infection.
Lemon juice does the same thing, warding off secondary bacterial infections and giving a whopping amount of Vitamin C.
Apple cider (and apple cider vinegar), is extremely rich in minerals and has been employed since ancient times for this reason.
It’s high in Vitamins A, B and C, cleanses the liver and will help remove mucus from the body. Apples and lemons have anti-cancer properties and are high in antioxidants and flavonoids. In lemons these anti-cancer compounds are found in the fruit, pith, peel, seeds and juice, with the highest concentration in the pith and lemon rind, so this juice is a great way to take them in. Lemons also help lower cholesterol and are a great source of vitamin C. They have a beneficial effect on the liver, bile and digestion. Half a lemon juice daily raises the citrate level of your blood which may help dissolve kidney stones. Apples help lower the risk of heart attack and stroke and assist bowel function. Ginger helps to soothe upset stomach, overcome nausea (including morning sickness), vertigo and motion sickness, fights colds and improves circulation. In some cases has been found to alleviate symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and can help with flatulence and improve digestion.

2-3 bags of green tea
2 inch piece of ginger, cut into matchsticks

The Health Benefits of Ginger
High in Antioxidants
Ginger is said to be one of the top antioxidant rich foods and therefore is useful in the prevention of many illnesses by helping to protect the cells in the body from free radicals. Antioxidants may also be able to slow the ageing process.
Contains Anti-Inflammatory Properties
Ginger is highly anti-inflammatory so it can alleviate headaches as well as assist in the treatment of arthritis, joint paint, and back pain. It can also decrease tissue inflammation and can help to relax aching, stiff muscles.
Promotes Good Digestion
Ginger contains gingerol and shogaol, and is said to stimulate the production of saliva, bile and gastric juices, helping to pass food effectively through the digestive tract. It can relieve heartburn, indigestion, bloating, flatulence, and protect the stomach from ulcers.

Apple Benefits For Health
Avoid Alzheimer’s
A new study performed on mice shows that drinking apple juice could keep Alzheimer’s away and fight the effects of aging on the brain. Mice in the study that were fed an apple-enhanced diet showed higher levels of the neurotransmitter acetylcholine and did better in maze tests than those on a regular diet.
Boost your immune system
Red apples contain an antioxidant called quercetin. Recent studies have found that quercetin can help boost and fortify your immune system, especially when you’re stressed out.
Detoxify your liver
We’re constantly consuming toxins, whether it is from drinks or food, and your liver is responsible for clearing these toxins out of your body. Many doctors are skeptical of fad detox diets, saying they have the potential to do more harm than good. Luckily, one of the best—and easiest—things you can eat to help detoxify your liver is fruits—like apples.
