Staples will Remain Closed on Thanksgiving Day "We want our customers and associates to enjoy Thanksgiving their own way."

Staples has just announced that they will be closed on Thanksgiving Day!Staples will wait until 6am on Black Friday to open stores for Black Friday sales.
Last year, Staples was open 6pm - 10pm on Thanksgiving, then again at 6am on Black Friday. This is the first instance we've seen where a retailer has previously opened on Thanksgiving, then has decided to go back to opening on Black Friday instead! Demos Parneros, President of North American Staples stores and online said,
"We want our customers and associates to enjoy Thanksgiving their own way.
"On Thanksgiving Day, customers can shop from home on Staples.com and then continue their shopping in stores starting at 6am on Black Friday."
Many stores have been starting their Black Friday sales earlier each year in order to get ahead of the competition. As a result, opening times are now as early as Thanksgiving morning (Kmart opened 6am on Thanksgiving Day last year). The result has been an imposing presence of Black Friday on Thanksgiving Day throughout the years where families are forced to take their turkey to go and ride the gravy train of doorbuster deals.
Staples' Black Friday online sale will be live on Thanksgiving Day (stores are closed) and will be live all weekend through Cyber Monday. Starting in early November, Staples will be offering special savings in what has lately been known as "Black November," where some retailers will promote any additional savings during the month of November as being related to Black Friday.
Staples also offers their price match guarantee throughout the holiday season from Amazon and retailers who sells products both in-stores and online. It is unclear if adjustments to this price match policy will be made on Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
