School refuses to expunge eight-year-old student's "eating a Pop-Tart with the intention of turning it into a gun" conviction

An attorney for the family of an Anne Arundel County second-grader suspended from school for nibbling a pastry into the shape of a gun said Monday that a top school official has denied the appeal to have the boy's record expunged.
Robin Ficker, attorney for Park Elementary School student Josh Welch and his family, said he will now appeal to the county school board.
Josh Welch was suspended in March for two days after school officials accused him of shaping the pastry into the form of a gun and waving it around.
Last month, Ficker said he met with school officials in an attempt to have the suspension expunged, but no resolution was reached.
That sent the matter to Superintendent Kevin Maxwell. Ficker said Monday that he received a letter from a school official acting as the superintendent's designee who said the appeal request was denied.
Anne Arundel County schools spokesman Bob Mosier declined to comment on the matter.
Ficker said he has 30 days to appeal to the county school board and will likely do so this week.
"I've spoken to Mr. Welch, and we're definitely going to appeal to the board of education," said Ficker, referring to Josh's father, J.B. Welch. "If this school can't educate a 7-year-old without putting him out of school, how are they going to deal with 17-year-olds?"

  3. It might look like a gun, a tank, a butterfly, etc, but it is still a Pop-Tart. To treat pretence or an illusion as reality is practically the definition of insanity.

The adults involved in this charade are beginning to believe that their insanity is fact. The fluoride, mercury, lead, aspartame, etc., in the food, water and air along with the job-loss fear for non conforming to the will of the elite is working quite well.

The chattel, although they out number their owners a million to one, will not dare disobey. The ignorant slave will whip his fellow slave not realizing that if they worked together they could easily defeat their common enemy and oppressors.

  5. "Rabble in Arms". Wouldn't Kenneth Roberts and our Founding Fathers be screaming. What a pack of pathetic groveling cowards live there now.
How far We have fallen, shall we inspect THEM for ZERO TOLERANCE. Let us go to each of their homes an ensure that every zoning and building law has been followed to the "T".

  6. That school is poison. That kid is normal and healthy. Keep him happy and teach him yourself. Instruct him in how to think critically in a world bent on insanity. Reward your child for enduring the dickheads in his dreadful school. Together, perfect the pop-tart gun silhouettes and share with friends. Shout: Down with the system, together and with joy.
