Oklahoma set to adopt nitrogen gas for executions | "The person will become unconscious within eight to 10 seconds and die a few minutes later,"

Oklahoma was poised Friday to become the first US state to use nitrogen gas as an alternative to lethal injection when carrying out executions.
Legislation to implement the measure was on the desk of Governor Mary Fallin after it was approved Thursday in the state Senate by a unanimous vote.
It's seen as giving the south-central state a fallback option if the US Supreme Court rules against its controversial use of lethal injection.
"The person will become unconscious within eight to 10 seconds and die a few minutes later," said Mike Christian, who initiated the bill in the lower House of Representatives, which passed it in March.
"In other words, a humane, quick and painless death," he said.
The US Supreme Court is due later this month to consider the constitutionality of lethal injection, the most common form of execution in the nation.
It upheld the procedure in a 2008 ruling.
But since then, shortages of the most commonly used drugs prompted state officials to come up with new lethal "cocktails" suspected of causing pain and suffering during some recent executions.
The case now before the Supreme Court is being brought by three death-row inmates in Oklahoma, who are challenging an untested triple combination of drugs used in earlier botched executions.

  1. ZYKLON-B why do they not pick a "time tested" gas?

  2. Then they would have to build fake showers with wooden doors that open into the room.

  3. Because Zyklon B kills lice, not people?

  4. Why not a big shot of heroin?
Ask them how they would like to go.

  5. ..given the corruption in the US Justice System...and the never ending stories of people being exonerated and released from prison and death row after 3 decades of illegal confinement...due to the perjury and corruption of criminal cops, prosecutors and judges...I'm uncomfortable with the death penalty being imposed at all. I do not have a problem with a truly evil soul who is truly guilty beyond any shadow of a doubt being put to death...(if you believe we have a moral right to do so?)...but doing so is not worth the price of one innocent person who misses their chance to prove their innocence. Segregate convicted Death Row Inmates for life...suspend the imposition of their sentence...give them the simple basics of survival in prison and let them live out their guilty lives...or fight for exoneration...as so many have been able to prove...

  6. Zyklon B, ironically invented by a Jew, is still manufactured in the Czech Republic as Uragan D2 and has been proven ineffective as an agent of mass murder. It's heat activated and would take many hours to produce a lethal concentration. It's very difficult to kill a human being with cyanide gas which is why California stopped using the gas chamber after it's last botched gas chamber execution.
Almost unbelievably (but true), there are no documented gas chambers for the alleged holocaust.
I recommend the YouTube video, "One Third of the Holocaust"
