On Tax Day, Obama Angers Americans By Suggesting They Pay Even More For….

If you don’t believe progressive educators in the public school system are doing their best to indoctrinate your children with all kinds of wacky ideas, you either have an identity crisis, believing yourself to be an ostrich and burying your head in the sand, or you’re one of “them.”
The parent of a student who attends Union Grove High School wasn’t too happy with the loony lefty who teaches her child after her kid came home with a writing assignment asking students to pretend they were Muslims.
Now, this of course, wouldn’t be that big of a deal if kids were also asked to pretend they were believers of other major religions like Christianity or Judaism, but nope, those belief systems are frowned upon in public school, but yet, somehow, the religion which promotes death, destruction, war, and bloodshed is perfectly acceptable.
What a backwards world we live in.
From EAG News:
WISN talk radio host Vicki McKenna posted Union Grove High School teacher Beth Urban’s email for a five-paragraph essay on Twitter.
It reads:
–Pretend you are:
1. Muslim male/female in U.S.
2. Give 3 examples of what you do daily for your religion and any struggles you face.
3. Again, 5 paragraphs (intro, 3 body paragraphs, closing.)
**Keep in mind we’ve been doing work and watching documentaries that have the facts needed to write the essay.
A parent of the student who received the assignment tells EAGnews, “I feel that the purpose of the assignment is to show prejudices towards Muslims in America or to invent them or exaggerate them.”
The parent, who asked to remain anonymous, doesn’t blame the teacher for the essay’s instructions.
“I did not voice my concerns directly to the teacher because I do not blame the teacher. I believe this is a curriculum issue. The teachers are not using their own curriculum, the school boards/superintendents do generally,” according to the parent.
“I brought attention to it because I felt that it was inaccurate for World History. I would have no problem with this assignment if they were to pretend they were in the Middle East and practicing their religion. I first was bothered because it seems that if any Catholic issues are brought up attention is brought to the school and (the assignment) banned being a public school.”
The problem here isn’t learning about Islam, it’s about the slant this assignment is taking, as it attempts painting a picture of Muslims as victims of persecution, when in reality, history clearly demonstrates that when it comes to persecuting people of different faiths, no one has done it more often and as brutally as followers of Mohammad.
It would be a totally different story if this assignment included other religions, but the fact it plays up the Islamic faith pretty much screams indoctrination, as it clearly aims to make kids sympathetic to the Muslim cause.
Why is Islam welcome in public schools, but Christianity is not?
Islam, which has some of the most barbaric rules for how women, minorities, and homosexuals are to be treated is practically praised and adored in school settings, while the teachings of Christ, which calls for followers to love all people, even the worst of the worst of sinners, is cast aside and labeled “intolerant?”
How does this make any sort of sense?
There’s actually a fairly reasonable answer to why the Islamafication of American schools is happening. Progressives tend to view Muslims in the Middle East — like those in Palestine — as freedom fighters struggling against oppressive, colonialist regimes.
This, of course, is nowhere near the actual reality of the situation, but the realm of the real isn’t a location most liberals are known to occupy.

  1. The solution is clear, get rid of religion...PERIOD. More have died in the name of their 'God' than for any other reason....

  3. "Why is Islam welcome in public schools, but Christianity is not?" That's easy. Christianity is a bigger threat to zionism

  4. BS, unless you are completely ignorant of history and ignore the wars of the 19th and 20th centuries, ranging from the Napoleanic wars to WW1 and WW2, the soviet gulags, Vietnam, Pol Pot and neoliberal exploitation of the third world, the claim that more have died in the name of God than for any other reason is irrational hysteria.
Anyone who blames the idea of God for war and human conflict is operating out of irrational hatred. Only your bigotry against simple people of faith could lead you to overlook the basic easily-accesible facts that blow your argument out of the water.

  5. Actually there would be a problem with this even if it were applied to all religions. Students don't really learn anything through activities like this. Its busy work. They would be better served by reading stories from the "Thousand and One Nights" if we wanted them to appreciate another culture's perspective.

  6. Darthangel, Darthangel.... For one, how dare you say I am ignorant of history... I don't ignore wars, that's exactly what I speak of! I'm so glad you get your 'modern' history from History Channel and the likes but how quick are you to forget the Conquistadors, the Catholic Genocide in Mexico, the 'white-man' conquering present day US/Canada.Thats just in North America! If you know your history, you'd know that North America was home to over 96 million native inhabitants...Hmm, nope, guess not... What about the locations of one of the worlds largest earthenware pyramids... Hmm, guess you didnt know that one either huh? But please, tell me how God was not on 'anyones' side during any of the conflicts you mentioned. Everyone felt like the 'almighty higher being' was on their side. Even current times place GW Bush as saying, "God told me to invade Iraq" (which I was apart of, what did you do?)
So I take it, you believe in god... well good on you - but go around calling me ignorant and label me a bigot when you don't fucking know a damn thing outside of public education and TV. You did get one thing right though, simple people of faith... that needs no explanation.....

  7. Had to come back... I hate name calling and cursing to get a point across.. to me that shows me someone without tact. I'm sure we will never agree on this topic, but I read your comments under your profile and feel that we agree on a lot. We're already segregated enough and something like religion, only pushes our ideas apart (which is what the elite want) and never lets us agree on anything because we don't see 'eye to eye'. Just don't call me ignorant or a bigot without knowing me.... Ones interpretations being misguided is the start to everything.. I'm sure you get that.. Best to you dude...

  11. Each post of yours is a pretty little meme you found online. You have never once presented a valid argument for anything. If that is your level of intelligence, then I'm sure you'll love this book: http://tinyurl.com/khezb8m .

  12. Of course I've presented a valid argument. My argument is that you are stupid. A fact you prove with every post you make.
