Feminists Enraged Over This Statue; Can You See Why?

Each day left wing ‘feminists’ get more stark-raving mad than the day before.
Now they’re whining about a statue.  A STATUE.
Scene: You’re a woman, sitting on a bench reading a book. Your male friend sees you on the quad and comes over to say hello and talk. You put down your book, lean back against the bench and smile. He doesn’t sit next to you; instead, he puts his foot on the bench and leans over his knee.

So sexist, right?

That scene is depicted in a statue at the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas, and despite no sign of distress or physical assertion, some women have decided it is a statue of “mansplaining” — a term used to describe men condescendingly explaining something to a woman.
Seriously. Here’s the actual statue and the claim of misogyny:

And of course there’s more idiocy:

Are these people being specifically taught to be man-hating, whiny goats in high school or does that start in college?

For God’s sakes, it’s a STATUE. A statue of 2 students clearly having a conversation.

There’s no sexism or ‘mansplaining’. They. Are. Statues.
It’s no wonder fewer women are getting married, no one wants to marry crackpot, hate-filled, demon spawn like these left wing femi-nutjobs who don’t need men but serious and lengthy drug-filled psychological therapy.

  3. Just to really piss them off, someone ought to add another statue of a man seated in an armchair, remote on the side, beer can in one hand with his apron wearing wife leaning over handing him a dinner plate. Can you imagine the outrage? They'd be dropping from high blood pressure all over campus.
Seriously though, do they just make up words for imagined circumstances that appear nowhere but in their own little twisted minds?

  4. If mansplaining is a word, I guess Idiocracy should be one too.

  6. woman are totally messed up.........the hierarchy of the country sees you as sex objects,at the same time they are promoting feminism to destabilise the family, the uk,us ,is suffering from massive divorce rates, massive single mothers and an epidemic of rapes.

  8. There are indeed some questions that need to be answered here. Firstly, why is the man stepping with his dirty shoe on a communal bench that is meant for people to sit on? How arrogant and unthoughtful of him. Perhaps he is a capitalist. Secondly, he is obviously attempting to intimidate the polite female student by exposing his genital area to her gaze. She appears terrified by this invasion of her privacy and her traumatised expression clearly reflects terrible memories of abuse by her authoritarian white father. This statue should be smashed into smithereens by a vigilante group of enraged students and replaced with a more suitable statue that represents the aspirations of young North American students. My personal choice would be a disabled transgender dwarf shouting into a megaphone and waving a copy of Mao's Little Red Book in the face of a startled and extremely obese policeman clutching a "Happy Meal" in one hand and a gun in the other.

That's still harmless compared to what the crazies are doing in Germany -- trying to change the language.

Anyone who speaks some German should check out this insanity:
    http://feministisch-sprachhandeln.org/leitfaden/kapitel4/

And it's not just about previous madness of insisting on "studentesses and students", they're now insisting that it's evil to even think that there's only 2 genders. Insanity that doesn't even translate to English well.

Next thing, they'll claim it's imperialist to enter a *US*ername into a computer when they should be entering their *DE*ername...

  11. The statue of the man is larger than that of the woman, making him appear more dominant. This is done frequently in Latin America, with the statue of the president very large and the poor peon much smaller an relatively insignificant.

  12. Grab a ruler and take a few measurements and you will find that your statement is incorrect. She looks smaller cause she's sitting down. lol

  13. And the sad part is that these nuts think the general public take them seriously. Time to give these idiots a tiny little island that they can have all to themselves. Drop them off with all the raw material they need to build their little sanctuary. Every time one of them complain about something as stupid as this let them know about this wonderful place that they can go. Would find out in a hell of a hurry which ones are nothing more than mouth pieces

  15. Has anyone thought to ask the artist who created the statue what s/he was attempting to portray, or the campus committee that approved the art what mood they were trying to bring to that location? These fems should consider the possibility that when the whole world looks like an inkblot test they are flirting with insanity.

Perhaps they could solve the problem by giving everyone equal cause to be upset, with another statue that men could call "hen-pecked" or "pussy-whipped". Both sexes have had their slang terms for the perceived wrongs by the opposite sex ever since humans could do more than grunt. Then again, hearing fems complain about "mansplaining" is close to the sound chimpanzee researchers call "pant-hooting".

  16. I just laugh. Anyone that goes out of their way to find things to be outraged over are part of the dead wood class. When the inevitable collapse hits us the dead wood class will realize they have no no skills and no friends to help them survive. The dead wood class will be swept out like the proverbial driftwood into the ocean, unloved and forgotten. I pity them.

  17. On average, men are larger than women. On average the male of any species is larger than the female.

That statue is truly outrageous! The man doesn't have a beard, so clearly it portrays those of us who don't have beards as the ideal and discriminates against us bearded men!
Also, neither of the people portrayed looks overweight, so it clearly discriminates against the obese!
And the people in the statue seem to be made of metal! What an affront to those of us made of carbohydrates. Capital punishment for the statue's makers! NOW! ... Not

  19. Since the most horrifying outcome a woman might expect to her life would be to tend a home and raise children with a husband that provides for everything and works.

    Terrifying...

  20. Some people are messed up! I have met a few crazy men. I have relations with quite a few women, I know and work with many more. Better than 95% are not crazy like this, most would think this woman is nuts.

  21. Nothing new here. Men figured out that just about everything makes feminists angry, thus we have the decade-long Marriage Strike, and the lowest marriage rates in the history of Western Civilization.

    ReplyDelete
  22. At least hysteria over things like this keeps them from doing more harm.

I once passed a bunch of students in a protest like this and they were so clearly unhappy miserable people I was at least glad that they get riled up over this nonsense instead of actually messing with things that matter. Don't get me wrong, even stuff like this dumbs down our universities and has negative effects, but it could be worse.

  23. And nobody on the left will distance themselves from these losers because they don't want to lose their votes. All feminism is extreme feminism because feminists have never condemned the extremists in their ranks.

Meanwhile the left continues to scream and demand anyone on the right be ostracized when they say something wrong.

  24. they should set up a statue on the other side of the campus, where the figures are set up the same but reverse sex roles. put pants on the woman and see how many people claim it is womansplaining! lol

    ReplyDelete
  25. The world is really what you make of it. Think what you want and no one is obliged to cater to your idiosyncresies. This is the NWO whether one subscribes to its philosophies or abhors them.. Mental masturbation flew out the window ages ago, now opinions are on paper but not in real life. Wake up.Gloria Steinem is in Cambodia or Laos now on all expenses paid; having fun and savoring her fame which brought devastation and disrespect to WOMANKIND, the COMPANION OF MAN. Now you see someone walking down the sidewalk and it is impossible to ID a Mr, Mrs or Mistake.

  26. They both seem assertive. But, like the gay mafia, feminist find the slightest reason to cry discrimination!!! Get your lives together and realize that we see this through a different lens!

  27. Yeah, bring back the old days...and hurry! Remember when a man earned enough to support the typical family of four...no matter what he did?!!!

  28. It's not "two students having a conversation." Does he look like he's listening to her? He's much bigger than she is, and he has put himself in a position where he is talking down to her. She's not intimidated; she's pushing out her breasts a little, and gazing up at him. So, basically, this is a male fantasy. And "ManSplaining: the Statue" is an excellent term for it. And why do all you guys think that looking at this picture and seeing a guy being overbearing means we hate men? I think men are adorable. Except when they're being jerks. So, stop.

  29. Ah, the good old days, when raping your wife was legal. (1972, that was.) And women went stark raving mad out of boredom.

  30. Nature is hereby banned by the feminists.

  31. Issues like this should not be raised because the women that raise them, make women look stupid and they are not. If you have to fight then don't use hyperbola, it is self defeating.

  32. Sexism = normal heterosexuality

  33. Fifty Shades of Grey was the number one selling book last year. I would be inclined to say women fantasize about being raped when they obsess over bondage and punishment.

  34. Yeah back when we lived in "America."

  35. If the man was sitting next to her, you would accuse the artist as having the man take over her space and bitch about "manspreading". If he had his arm on the back of the bench, it would be a sexist onslaught.

Just take him out of the picture and the woman will be much happier, all by herself, just like those nutbar "Feminists".

  36. Yup. I grew up in the old days 50s-60s. I can still remember the way women were, feminine. Welcome to our world. Enjoy.

Then fill it with water 9/10ths of the way up.............

  38. If it was a woman at a desk with her boss behind her massaging her shoulders, the majority of guys would understand the complaint. Same with an anguished woman looking at a guy swinging open his trench coat; guys don't have to do mental gymnastics to see the offense.

To see the offense in the above, you need a pre-determined baseline against men; it may not be from predjudice, never underestimate the power of stupidity. I think your problem is that you need a version of the "Dog Whisperer" for men; you know, someone interpreting the actual focus of the "man" into reality instead of some FemLib psuedo-language of oppression.

Try watching "Retro-Wives" for a clue or, at least, an attack of angina.....

    Peace, out.

  39. Womansplaining is performed standing up with feet about 18" apart, hands - usually in fists - on hips, leaning forward at the waist slightly. Mouth wide open - volume on 10. You'll know it when you see it...

I remember when marriage was supposed to be a "team" effort for the sake of family and home. Without that concept none of us would be here. History didn't start in the 20th century with the insane political agendas spawned in the 1960s, and if this is "progressive" I'll eat my hat.

  43. Exactly-- the arrogant character of the man is implicit through his posture/ transgression, as is the impatient non-acceptance of the woman, who is facing him off. I rather think it was a feminist statement at the outset.... but feminists are unable to see that it was designed to make a statement about macho pigs, on their behalf!!
